Kevin Lumsden is running for a seat in the Wyoming Legislature in House District
43.
I am thankful to live in Wyoming and have always been involved in my community. By
running for the House of Representatives, I want to continue this tradition of giving
back. I also believe government should be accessible and accountable to its citizens.
My first job is listening to you.
I want to hear all sides concerning issues, only then can the best decisions be
made. I hope by meeting with you, I can do the best possible job representing you.
I appreciate your consideration when you go to vote.
Kevin Lumsden was born in Marshalltown, IA and has been a Laramie County resident
for 19 years. Kevin has been active in conservation work in Laramie County, and
created the Family tree program for Habitat for Humanity.

Viewpoints On Healthcare
Many people in our state cannot afford the medical care they need. Medical insurance and prescription drug costs continue to skyrocket. Our rural situation makes it difficult to attract specialists. I will work hard to make health care more affordable, especially to our senior citizens who face these escalating costs on a fixed income.
Viewpoints On The Outdoors
As a sportsman, I strongly support our Second Amendment Rights. Responsible gun ownership is a right of every citizen. I believe the outdoors is for the use of all our citizens and stand with Wyoming Gov. Freudenthal and Sen. John Barraso in support of legislation prohibiting drilling in the pristine Wyoming Range. I will work to increase our access to public lands.
My Stance On Education:
Our Wyoming schools need to provide all children a superior education, which equips them with the skills needed to compete in an ever changing work environment. Money spent on education is never wasted. As a trained professional educator, I will work to ensure our legislature continues to meet the educational challenges of the future.
My Stance On Wyoming Water Issues:
Wyoming is experiencing tremendous growth even in these economically challenging times. Our current growth trends need to ensure that our resources are used intelligently. I will put my efforts into ensuring that Wyoming’s water development projects protect this vital resource to ensure sustained growth.
